Lucile's earings

Its my understanding that Lucile had on the Titanic a pair of seventeenth century pearl and emerald cross earings that were a Duff Gordon family heirloom and given to her as a wedding present from Sir Cosmo sadly they were lost in the sinking. dose anyone know why she would not have attempted to take these with her into lifeboat 1? were they in her cabin or in the pursers safe? can anyone tell me anything else about them other than what i have said?

To my belief. i read something about Lucille's earings and I believe they were in the pursers safe. I read this in many books and on some internet sites.
