Lusitania wreck I painted for fun. Acrylic on wood 18x30. Got the idea from a Ken Marschall painting of the same angle, but I wanted to go darker and dingier with it. Thanks for lookin.

Thanks! I was also inspired to paint it from your ‘sinking in real time’ animation. Good stuff. Lucy doesn’t get enough love. She’s the ugliest wreck ever.

  4. Yep the wreck is basically a scrap heap, but oddly enough i find the bow somewhat majestic. Maybe its just my nostalgia for Ken's work

The bow still has some dignity, at least it did back in the 90’s when it was explored last. I’d bet she’s in really rough shape nowadays.

  6. basically only the stem is left, the hold are has collapsed in later years. This will be in detail discussed in the paper that will be released with my new animation/demo

Here’s another painting I made of the bow. Acrylic on canvas 8x10. Had fun with this one.

  8. Nice work. I'm thinking of doing the wrecksite myself.
