"A wireless message relayed to a ship rescuing survivors of the doomed ocean liner Titanic was sold for $5,455 at a sale held by the Dominic Walter auction hose in Swindon, England. The message is even more historically significant since it was personally sent by Guglielmo Marconi the inventor of wireless radio. The Marconigram asked for news of the 1912 disaster. It was relayed from New York to the S.S. Carpathia as members of her crew pulled survivors from the sea"
