KODIAK, Alaska - A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew rescued the four crewmembers of the tug Aries from their barge 109 miles east of St. Paul Island Sunday afternoon after the 68-foot tug sank in the Bering Sea.

MV Wisdom finally on its way to scrapyard after 20 grounded days

After over 20 days and three failed attempts to refloat the scrapped cargo ship MV Wisdom that ran aground at Juhu Beach, maritime authorities on Saturday succeeded in refloating the ship. Taking advantage of the high tide, salvage company SMIT International used two powerful tugs to pull the 9367-ton ship out of the ground.

Falmouth Coastguard coordines rescue of Dutch yacht crew off Isles of Scilly

Two Dutch crew from a yacht have been rescued in gale force conditions overnight, 75 miles South West of the Isles Of Scilly.

At 8.20pm on Thursday Falmouth Coastguard received an EPIRB (Emergency Positioning Radio Beacon) distress alert located 75 miles South West of the Isles Of Scilly, which they determined was registered to a Swedish 36 foot yacht called Andriette.

Moscow (CNN) -- Specialist military divers have arrived at the site where a Russian cruise ship sank over the weekend, killing more than 100 people, the Russian Defense Ministry said Wednesday.

The highly trained divers, who specialize in rescue operations and lifting sunken ships, have orders to present a plan to raise the "Bulgaria" from the Volga River as soon as possible, the ministry said in a press release.

(PORTSMOUTH, Va.) -- The tug boat Lisa Moran and a 24-foot recreational fishing boat collided while in the James River near Hopewell, Va., at approximately 3 a.m., Thursday. The two men aboard the fishing vessel were ejected as a result of the collision.
