Hello everyone on Titanica. My name is Matt Robinson, and I am honoured to be a member of this board as I have been interested in maritime history for a number of years.

I am particularly interested in modern day maritime disasters, particularly The Andrea Doria/Stockholm collision, and The Yarmouth Castle fire. And this is where the 'request' stated in the title comes in.

I watched and recorded two documentaries on either The History Channel or The Discovery Channel about lost ships. The two which I recorded concerned The Andrea Doria and The Yarmouth Castle. Sadly, the tape was misplaced and I have been unable to locate it.

As I am a huge fan of such incidences, and please forgive me if I sound morbid, I was wondering if anyone on this board happened to have these two documentaries in their collection? I cannot for the life of me remember what the show was called, but I remember the title sequence. Several items of clothing and other pieces of debris slowly sink to the bottom of the ocean, and a single hand reaches up to the surface. I hope this helps.

I would be most grateful to anyone if they have these episodes in their collections, and are willing to sell/trade them to me. I would offer a good price.

Thank you.

Matt -- Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but have you searched the websites for both History & Discovery? They often have their programs available for sale. (Sorry, I haven't seen either program. However, I can recommend some books on the Andrea Doria to you. Back in the day, several of my scuba diving friends made regular trips to her, so I had an interest in her history.)

Yes I've looked on both websites, but both documentaries were on approx 5-6 years ago, and I miss-laid the tape approx 4 years ago. Same thing happened to the tape I had with documentaries on HMAS Sydney and Edmund Fitzgerald. Maybe I'm just careless.
