I am not sure if this has been discussed, as it was an ABC World News closing story, soon after I was released from the hospital.

The memoirs of Helen Churchill Candee were made public. The newscaster's mention ended with a partial reading...Candee writes..."It felt as if we had struck the top of a mountain". And furthur Candee writes..."The soft quiet sea is upon her portholes, the end of the world is here".

{Is the entire content of the memoir available to us?}
