Millionarie Suite

Hi Nigel,
I don't think Olympic had any private promenades. I think J.Bruce Ismay had them fitted in Titanic late in her fitting out ( just like her partial covering on A Deck).
It was probably done so that Titanic could be more luxurious than her sister.
Also, if I remember. Olympic's B Deck had promenade areas the whole length of the deck.
Hope this helps.

The B deck Titanic suites and promenades were not late installments. They were incorporated into her design quite early on in Titanic's outfitting.

Yes David is correct in saying that there were no such suites on the Olympic as Titanic's B51 or 52 etc. Olympic certainly also had 4 sitting rooms, with adjoining bedrooms (on B and C decks) but they were much the same, and would not have been considered like Titanic's private promenade suites.

On a side note could anyone tell me:

1: What were the styles of these cabins? (I was under the impression that Ismay's cabin was in Regency. No idea about Morgan's)

2: The dimensions of the outside promenade, 30 or
50ft in length?

Thanks for any input

The decorations, information and pictures of these suite should come out soon enough, if I ever get enought time to get my act together. The Morgan suite, or B51 was decorated in Adams style.

Contrary to the popular belief, the promenade was not 50' but 48'.

Daniel.
