John Borland "Jack" Thayer III He was a first-class passenger on the RMS Titanic who provided several first-hand accounts of the titanic disaster.

It's so sad that Milton Long (an only child) had to die so young. He seemed like a nice and down to earth guy. Jack Thayer was lucky to have befriended him even if briefly.

Mr. Long was believed to be quite handsome. As his body has been recovered, I hope it got embalmed. It's the best way to preserve the (supposedly handsome) end of this Springfield MA family tree.

I was partly kidding (the embalming comment), but also partly serious. I saw a photo somewhere (supposedly) of Milton Long. Damn that guy was not half bad looking.

If Milton survived and both him and Jack were bi then they would've made a great couple xD. But both were probably straight, so bff's would be more likely.
