Model Building

Hope this is the correct place for this!
I am nearing the end of my model and would like to know if there is an easier way of attaching all the rigging to the masts, cranes, etc.
The directions say to use white glue.
But I was wondering if there are any other model builders out there who have found a better way of achieving this arduous task?
Any input would be very helpful!!!

How common are models of the Titanic today and can you find them in places like the Titanic Museum in Belfast. Also, such a model could be built for a city like Aberdeen, Scotland and become an iconic landmark if large enough. The Little Mermaid is a popular tourist attraction in Copenhagen despite it's small size.
