In the 70's, my grandmother always told me that a sister of his mother (Ms LANOO) was on the Titanic, with his husband, they were from the area of the city of "Roselaere" (Roullers) in Belgium, about the family history they have remained in USA.

My grandmother told that the husband has success to get on a safe boat, hidden under the dress of his wife...

Maybe it was right...

the only belgium women who survived together with her husband, was Mrs. Anna "Emma" De Messemaeker and her husband
Gulliaume De Messemaeker. She was borne in 1875 as Anna "Emma"? De Becker, she survived in Lifeboat 11 or 13.
She travelled third class with her husband. After the titanic she got mental problems and died in 1918

here is a photo of her husband best regards
