I recently acquired a tape containing passages from old interviews with survivors. It's not properly documented, though I can recognise some by their stories, such as Robert Hichens remembering the abuse he copped.
The one that's got me intrigued is an American woman who sounds like a film maker's idea of Margaret Brown. She has a strong, drawling American accent and tells outrageous tall stories. The one I've seen somewhere else is that Californian came so close that she could see a man walking on her deck. She tells another about a baby that was saved from a rubbish bin after its mother dumped it there and made her escape.
Has anybody got any idea who this character is?
