The death is also announced of Mr. J. M. Morrow, who last visited New
Zealand in May as second officer of the Ionic. He made a number of voyages
to these waters as third officer of the Athenic. While in the trans-Atlantic
service (for three years) he was third officer of the Republic, when that
vessel was sunk after colliding with the Florida. On arrival in England from
his last trip to New Zealand Mr. Morrow transferred from the Ionic to the
Teutonic, trading between Liverpool and Canada. In September he was taken to
