Many thanks for lovely picture of me at night - Mauretania 1907. I have not seen a view like this before. As to your article, the Titanic at night would have been unmistakable, even if many cabin lights were out and portholes dark because pax were asleep. I have seen modern cruise ships at night and there is a reflected glow, especially on calm waters.

Ugh. This authors attempts to salvage the reputation of Stanley Lord become increasingly pathetic.  Why does this site continue to post so much of Mr. Molony's bologna?

Watch "A Night to Remember", the commentary track. They mention that almost all the ship's lights (the big model used in the film) are lit up and this wouldn't have been the case in real life. As I recall, at the point in the film where they mention it, its the night of the sinking and after 10pm.
