Nomadic at the Hamilton Dock Belfast

I wanted to start this thread to share a great update with everyone and begin to document this new chapter of the Nomadic's career in Belfast at Titanic Quarter.

The last surviving ship of the White Star Line is nearing the completion of the restoration of her steelwork by Harland & Wolff, her original builders. The scope of work included restoring her partially removed Bridge Deck and her completely removed Flying Bridge Deck to their original 1911 appearances.

View the latest photos of the project by clicking the link at the bottom of the page here:

Compare her restored appearance to these photos of her early career:

Some remaining items to be completed include restoring her bridge and mast to their 1911 appearance, but as you can see, her original appearance is very much returned!

Thanks to the Nomadic Preservation Society for raising the awareness campaign that saved her from the scrapyard, the Nomadic Charitable Trust for their fundraising efforts, and to Harland & Wolff for their brilliant work in bringing this irreplaceable ship that served so many of the great White Star and Cunard liners back to life!
