Sorry about all the spamming. Anyway, I do finally have this web page up and running. I'd appreciate as many hits as possible, simply to let the search engines pick up on it so I can get this page into the top of the listings. That would be a really big help.

You will need Flash 7 player to see these pages, and probably a QuickTime plug-in too.

As always, constructive criticism is welcome. If there any technical problems accessing this site, unwelcome glitches or technical difficulties, let me know. Thx.

Tom: You did a fantastic job, and let me be the....welll...second to congratulate you! I hope that yours becomes the definitive Normandie site, in the spirit of ET and Lusitania Resource, and I anticipate that you are going to be getting a lot of positive feedback.!

Great job!

I don't think anyone could have done a better job... I mean gosh... It's too good! You get everything, neat internet graphics, great interior shots and Normandie. Hardly a better website out there.

I just realized I had my speakers turned down and totally missed the narrative for the interiors! Went back and went through them... very informative - answering some of my new questions about Normandie.

I do hope that this does become the definitive Normandie site. There was another site out there, but it seemed kind of dead... but at the same time, I don't remember it having much content. A site like this, with so much content on it for the Normandie lover, is bound to be popular.

Great job and wow...

Excellent work...For all of you web creators out there, this is an excellent model to follow. Of course, I have a high-speed connection here, so I'm not sure how long something like this would take over a 56K modem...but I'm guessing a loooong time. Still, this is very good.

Flash is definitely the way to go. I get so very tired of looking at sites that haven't been updated since 1998.

You might have to hit refresh after hitting "skip intro" I think that's what I did to get into the main part of the site.

Sounds like there's a bug in there that needs to be worked out then. It shouldn't be that big a deal though. The page indicated that it was designed for broadband connections too, and that may be a problem for me on a telephone modem. I tried hitting Refresh and it didn't work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Nuts. Too bad about that.

Did you try and let the intro play all the way through? Or it may just hang after the preload sequence where the little ship goes between the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. The age of a computer and the graphics card could also be a problem.

I probably should get around to doing a low-bandwidth version, if and when I get the time.

You can see some of the still renders by going to http://www.alae.us/Normandie/StillShot001.html

and also

Those are the only URLs that I think might work on your machine. Sorry, again. Try it on a broadband connection if you can find one. Thanks for the feedback.

Tom,

Impressive site you have here. The 3D renderings are simply amazing...but we already told you so about them, didn't we? ;)

Great work.

Tom, I've just gone through the links you offered and all but the last one worked just fine. Those rederings are excellant, especially that first one. I hope to be able to see some more eventually. Great job there!

I am nearly speechless! What a masterpiece! Your attention to detail and creativity are to be commended. May I ask how long it took you to create your webpage?

What a fine tribute to the loveliest of ocean liners. I am storing it in my "Favorites" section, so that I'll be able to return to it frequently. Thank you for this wonderful gift!

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't answered this thread sooner. Thanks for all the positive feedback.

I'm hoping to be able to find the time to update and redo some things, and hopefully have it online by February. God-willing, maybe even an interior VR pano or two. We'll see.

Thanks again!

Wow, I found that website a long time ago, and thought it was great! The short film clips of pictures and tours of public rooms was great. The only thing I could say would to add one on the Grill Bar.

Thanks - but my resources and photos for the grill restaurant are pretty sparse, so I had to lump it together with the First Class Dining Room.

Am knee-deep in the Lusitania right now, but maybe someday I can get back to this site and update a thing or two.
