When Titanic was lost, did she lose her RMS designation? I know ships could lose and regain this designation for various reasons, and I would assume loss of mail would be one. This was something I always wondered about but was scared to ask. LOL
Titanic would no longer be a Royal Mail Steamer after her sinking because she was no longer able to carry mail. Titanic is still called “RMS Titanic” because that is the designation she carried at the end of her career.
