my grandmother Jenny Cohen(Gentiel-Greek name) was on board the Carpathia =destination New York from Salonica Greece to meet my grandfather who immigrated earlier from Istanbul Turkey, his birthplace.

My grandmother Helen Kegel Lowth was on board the Carpathia too, she was just a child traveling to America with her mom and dad. Her mom died on that trip unfortunately due to some type of illness (possibly Small pox) and they buried her at sea. My grandma didn't like to talk about that trip obviously with her mom dying and picking up all the passengers from the Titanic, what a horrible thing to happen to a little girl.
