On Board The Titanic

I have a book called On Board The Titanic edited by Logan Marshall.
It is a very good read but something confused me. It has testomonies from a Quartermaster Moody.
I thought the only Moody was the sixth officer and that he went down with Titanic. Could someone please tell me what this is about?

Quartermaster Moody may have been Quartermaster Hichens. Somehow the press got mixed up and Logan Marshall followed.

Have fun with Logan Marshall. The book is a fine mix of fact and fiction and will test your ability to tell chalk from cheese.
