I am trying to find the forensic musicologist, J. Marshall Bevil's (deceased 2017) copy of And the Band Played On: Hypotheses concerning what music was performed near the climax of the Titanic disaster. This was one of his dissertations.
He gave me permission in the early 2000s to use it but he had it saved under t1txt and this is no longer a valid link. Does anyone know where I can find an online copy?
Thanks! It is a marvelous paper and I had hoped to contact him with my questions but then found he was deceased. Quite an interesting person.

I hope that you find the paper somewhere. But since you've read it, can you tell us what he said?

Jason, you are done for the day! One miracle per customer! Thank you so much and the audio links work. Dr. Bevil would be proud it is still around. Hope more people can read it and see how thorough a job he did. If you want the shorter version, it should have a precis after the introduction. Again, thanks Jason.
All my best,
Melinda

Jason performed the miracle of restoring earthlink to the present. It is below and I encourage you to read it. Quick read plus you get to hear the tunes that were possibly heard that night. Was it Autumn or NMGTT or perhaps no hymns at all. Is that enough of a tease to get you to try the music in Dr. Bevil's paper. ENJOY!
