Only the cream of society

I know that lifeboat number 4 is famous for saving some of the richest and most influential passengers on board, but I also realize that it was lowered quite late into the sinking, when the final lifeboats were also being filled with steerage women and children. Did any of the lower class passengers make it into lifeboat number 4 or was it all just the wives of US tycoons and their maids?

There were no 3rd Class passengers known to be in boat 4 when it was lowered, but there were several 2nd Class so it wasn't a 'millionaires' special'.

"There were no 3rd Class passengers known to be in boat 4"

True, there were no known to be in boat 4, but the book Women and Children First presents scenarios in which the Nicola-Yarred children and the Asplund family, all in 3rd class, could have been in boat 4.

Holly, Jamilia Nicola Yarred described having to shove the lifeboat away from the side of the ship, indicating her presence in boat C and the Asplunds were part of a big crowd and ended up in a lifeboat which was absolutely full. She never mentions picking people up from the sea, and I believe the Asplunds were in boat 15.
However, Mrs. Backström may have been in boat 4.
