Okay, here goes. I'm thinking about writing a novel, present time setting, about a replica ship of Titanic. Everything will be the same as the original and the cruises will all be a kind of victorian role-playing kind of thing. Everything is going to be set up to make the guests feel as though they've traveled back in time, except the ports.

Now, your part. Should the ship sink and in general how should it end?

Mmmmmmmm...I'd like to see a happy ending with a triumphant arrival in new York myself, though perhaps you can toss in an accident or some terrorists to spice things up. I just sent you an e-mail encouraging you to get your hands on as much technical material as possible. If the scenerio is on a perfect replica, this becomes something of an imperative.

Stephnie,

What you propose sounds a lot like Bill Walker's "Titanic 2012." You might want to read that before you develop your story any further; otherwise, you risk being labeled a copy-cat.
