Oscar II Class Quieter than Los Angelos and Ohio Class Subs? just wondering as there seems to be some dispute over this. Moore in his book "A time to die" claims Kursk was quieter than western submarines (UK & USA). Truscott in his book "Kursk" claims the Kursk was almost as quiet as western subs. i am leaning more towards truscott as his book seems to have done better research, though moore did some good research too, i might have a better idea of which one was right when i finish the most recent edition to my personal library "Rising Tide", something like a russian version of "blind mans bluff".
