Okay, so I'm aware there are no known photographs of the Titanic actually sinking, but what about some other famous ships? Are there any photos of the Lusitania, Britannic etc whilst they were sinking?
The Lancastria was another vessel photographed going down - there are a lot of sites reproducing the images of her sinking, with catastrophic loss of life:
Inside Robinson's Bar where quite a lot of Titanic artifacts have been accumulated. Notice, Philomena, the doll, which the search crews after the sinking believed was a baby floating on the sea (http://www.belfast-titanic.com/), see Last Meeting
It is rumored that a photo of the Britannic going down was taken by a crew member and survivor and occupied a prominent space on the wall, however as I have heard it, the house was destroyed during a German air raid in WWII and the photo along with it
Sandro, I had to edit out the photo because of possible copyright issues. For future reference, it would be wise to get permission from the site owner befor posting same. I've left the link there so people can check it out for themselves.
My opinion is that most if not all of those photos were taken aboard Olympic. (I could be wrong)
I don't know about the rest, but the one of the writing room is definitely Francis Browne's photo of the one on Olympic. That one is also copyright anywhere, as are all Browne's photos. I'll leave the rest to the experts.
The only Titanic photos are those of the cabin (two different views of the same cabin). That dining room photo was taken in July/Aug 1920, all others are pre-war Olympic.
