perhaps her resting place

On Aug. 9 Nat. Geo. will present a special titled "Draining the Oceans". A (low flying) birds eye view of the oceans...minus the water, via computer-generated sonar 3-D images. Also, the August '09 issue (end pages) of NG features a brief ad of the upcoming special. It is my hope that we may get a brief look at the submarine canyon where TITANIC rests.

I missed some of the airing...returned from outdoors and was catching the tail end of a MIR/Cameron dive...something to the fact of a discovery, not in regards to the Titanic wreck, but owing to the 200? dives to Titanic, I don't know a new discovery of coral species or something at 20,000'?

I shall catch the Nat'l Geo special again, and hopefully will take in the entire episode...

Well, they didn't show the Titanic or the area in which the wreck lays and had no reason to. The show was about impressive features of the ocean and extremes. It was completely geological.

Yes...but there was talk of *new* discoveries during the telecast. I viewed portions in which species of coral, off seperate island continental shelf waters, are more abundant. The telecast entailed much more than just the geological features of *drained* ocean sonar imaging.
