PIC OF SUITE

Sorry It is small but I don't have access to Photoshop at the moment:

Here it is in Black and White as pictures of the time look:

Greg,

The picture does not seem to reflect what B-54 would have actually looked like. White Star deck plans indicate very little furniture. But the main problem with Cameron's layout is that he does not seem to have been aware that in 1st Class all the beds had their head and foot boards facing fore or aft; never the side of the ship.

That's not the only problem. The style of the rooms (all three of them in the movie) are inaccurate. With the recet dive and exploration of interiors the styles of these cabins are now known. Even if the interiors of these rooms were not explored, you can figure out the styles from photos and other pieces of information.

Yes, that's the image I was asking about! Thank you for posting it! Funny, I don't recall seeing that room in the film; is it the one that the safe is kept in? Looks like I'm going to have to go dig my videos back out...

Cheers,

Brandon,

There was only a glimpse of this room in the film. In the software you can see that one would have to walk through the bedroom to reach the wardrobe room (where the safe was). I like the bit of the bathroom that shows in the software (it wasn't in the film at all).

The set is close to the plan and descrition of the suite in Eaton & Haas' Titanic:Triumph and Tragedy (p. 30).

Lester, what source is your detailed picture from?

Cathy
