PIerre Rousseau (chef) in 1911 was chef de cuisine at the North British hotel, Edinburgh. He wrote to my Grandfather Alfred Debrach offering his position as chef as he was leaving to take employment on the Olympic. I have the letter and also post cards written and signed by P.Rousseau also a studio photograph of him. I also have the official North British hotel. job contract offered to my Grandfather for Pierre Rousseau's position.Pierre Rousseau and my grandfather new each other working at Luigi Gatti's resturant London.When Pierre Rousseau was transfered from the Olympic to the Titanic He wrote to my grandfather offering him a job with him but my grandfather refused. (my grandmother had a few words to that affect)My father Maurice Lapeyre. 2nd chef to my grandfather married his daughter Jeanne Debrach and took up chef de cuisine at the North British hotel Glasgow.
