Hi all !
Christmas and New Year are near and
yet I cannot afford buying any Titanic book
in English... Not mentioning ol' movies
(not Cameron's I mean)
So I 'd very appreciate any of you sending
me any of such stuff as gift - second hand,
old -anything you can afford to send...
And in my turn I will send you something from
Russia ..
Please You' re my only hope..
Thanks in advance.
God bless you.

Maxim- what books in English do you have already? Keep us posted here when books arrive so we do not send the same book to you . Also, do you have the National Geographic magazines on Titanic?

Forgot to ask- do you receive either VOYAGE (Titanic International magazine)Commutator, (Titanic Historical Society journal) or the British Titanic Society publication? I have been saving those for years and have some extras.

Dear Shelley!
Thank you for your reply!
You know I do not have printed
Titanic books -alas -
no magazines..
I have only what I have from i-net for
my research.
So if you can help me - I have ways to show
gratitude.
Anyway you write -'when books arrive' I really
expect 1 or 2 persons to send me something
but anyway I'll post message instantly.
So if you have some extra material (anything)
I can assure you it wont be the book or other thing I have for now.
It's just I visited all second hand shops -
I found nothing...
Anyway thank you for your reply!

It's going to be a White Star Christmas! Bonsall's Titanic and the Discovery Channel Expedition 1996 book are on the way. NOBODY should have to go to a computer to see Titanic!I can tell you there are no more generous and thoughtful folks in the world like The "Boat People" so am sure you will receive many books.

What's the big huff about Bonsall's TITANIC?

Want to hear a funny story? I guess it would have had to been the year Bonsall first released the book. My girlfriend and I are X-Mas shopping, we enter a Walden's, she finds a book, purchases it, and on the way out says, "I found you an X-Mas gift your gonna luv". It drove me nuts, I could not wait for X-Mas. So as she found her way to Macy's, I doubled it back to Walden's. It took a couple moments till I found what she had. In all honesty, I just took a peek at the cover, and waited till Santa came to savor the contents...;-)

Maxim~

I have a June 1997 copy of "Life" magazine with an interesting cover story about Titanic that is all yours. What with customs, etc., I can't guarantee it will get to you by Christmas....but keep a look out for it!

Uwazac! (I don't know any Russian; I hope a little Polish "take care" will do!)

Zdravstvuitye, Maxim:
Sorry that we cannot use the Russian alphabet on the ET board. How old are you? Would you be interested in some juvenile books that might be easier to read?

Dear Maxim
Interesting to read that there is also somebody from your country joining the message board. I am going to send you an envelope with duplicated Titanic material as Christmas present.
Have you read the article here in ET about third class passenger Meier Moor and his mother Beila who in fact were from Russia. You may be able to find more about them, but you would probable need to know where in Russia they came from.

Maxim (and perhaps others) you may be able to find out more about Titanic passenger Rosa Pinsky, from Russia.
According to Hermann Soeldners book RMS Titanic Passenger and crew list. she was 32 years old in 1912. but with question marks as to when born, and when died. She travelled second class. Her destination was Brooklyn, U.S.A. Anybody know anything more about her?
