Plymouth Alterations Necessary

Can someone help me?

If I am not mistaken, Titanic was supposed to arrive at Plymouth on its return maiden voyage.

My question is this:

Were special docking arrangements necessary to accommodate the ship or was it to be moored in the harbour with tenders ferrying out people and cargo?

It's my understanding that tenders were used, certainly they were for Olympic in 1911.
