Potted Plants

I don't know if this is of any interest to anyone but me, I was wondering who would have taken care of the potted palms on board the Titanic. I know the plants and flowers were supplied by F G Bealing & Son. Who watered the plants between ports?
I live in Fort Lauderdale and work for a company that supplies plants to a cruise ship. It is my job to go on board once a week and water the plants. So this is a subject close to home.
Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.
Warm Regards,
Todd

Geoffrey,

There is a really good section about this topic in "Titanic Voices" if you're interested to have a look at it. I don't know if anyone had the task to water the plants while the ship was a sea. My guess is that no one had the specific task, but perhaps some stewards might have watered the plants if it was needed.

Other than that, like you, someone was probably hired in NY to look after the plants, and I'm sure White Star Line had some other florist contracted in NY who would supply fresh flowers for the return voyage.

Regards,

Daniel.
