Does anyone know if anyone in boat 2 saw the propellers breaking the water's surface as they rowed around the Titanic's stern? I am sure I read it somewhere (probably not Boxhall's testimony) but I can't find it now.

Best wishes

I remember some of the references myself. I don't know if any of them were from the people in Boat Two, but I recall statements to that effect. The Titanic Inquiry Project website seems to be down at the moment so I can't check any further then that.

Forgive me for sounding dumb, but when you mean ''breaking the water's surface'' do you mean the propellers rising out of the sea water?

I know Thomas Ranger saw the propellers:
"4098. Will you just describe to us what you mean? - She just slowly turned up and went down. You could see the three propellers in the air."

Lightoller thought they were possibly up:
"Even at that time I think the propellers were clear of the water. That I will not be certain of."
