Late Evening...

Just finished with this wonderful TV documentary on behalf of the History Channel (West Coast Cable Channel 50).

Aside from the agenda of the parties involved, which was btw only partially attained (The lifting of one of Alabama's 5K lb. cannon armament) I was impressed with the how this duo nation (USA/France) expedition team acted in accord.

The similarities of the pleasantry summaries regarding the significance for preserving these palpable artifacts bore striking resemblance to those felt by the auspice IFREMER/LP Conservation efforts regarding salvage of R.M.S. Titanic...

...one should have a 'look see' at channel fifty.

ADDENDUM...

Tomorrow night the "Raise the Alabama" documentary
will be repeated (Cabel Ch. 50 West Coast).

Most of the salvaged items from the Civil War relic were interned at the Navy Museum, in Wahington D.C. I beleive. The 15K lb. cannon is undergoing "tender loving care" by the folks who are also in charge of conserving the Hunley.

I admire one conservators feelings of...
"We become a link in the chain of it's history".

Enjoy,
