I just ordered two books from Amazon, one is "River Class Frigates and the Battle Of The Atlantic" by Brian Lavery.
It is excellent, an in depth treatment of the design, and employment of these escort ships.
(I hope he will follow it up with ones on the Black Swan, or Castle, or Loch classes )
The other I have not seen yet, but it is called "Churchill's Navy", also by Brian Lavery.
It is a source book on the organization, people, ships, and other aspects of the wartime Royal Navy. (I believe it will be a work similar to Lavery's "Nelson's Navy" which was great!)
