How come there was two refrigerating plants one steam powerd one above the engine room and another electrically-driven one aft of the #1 uptake? One more thing is there anny plans of the steam driven refrigerating plant?

Excellent question! The electric refrigeration engines were for the refrigerated cargo, however the steam operated refrigeration engines were actually part of a primitive and experimental form or air conditioning for the First Class.
