hello everybody!
well, I'm pretty interested in some "objects" that appear in several photos of the A La Carte Restaurant, I'm talking about little "boxes" (I don't know how to call them) near the tables.
If anyone knows about this please let me know!

I believe the "boxes" are ottomans, these also appear in photos of the Reading & Writing Room.

Inside are metal plates to hold up the cieling and an electric heater. I think. I recall.

Hello again!
I've recently checked out the deckplans of Titanic in the discovery channel page and I found something interesting, in the part of the Restaurant, it says (for the little "boxes", I think) : "Jardineres P&S".
Any idea?

Jardinieres are decoratives pots for flowers or plants. These "boxes" probably did serve this purpose and I always thought they may have also been used as cupboards for various articles such as serviettes or cutlery that may have been required close at hand during dinner.
