RMS Brittanic life boats and poop deck modifications

To those who answered my previous enquiry, thankyou. I recently mentioned that I was converting an accademy minicraft Titanic to a model of the Brittanic and after studying photographs, asked if anyone knew how to find drawings of the life boat davits and deck modifications for R.M.S. Brittanic. I had many interesting replies and much information but was literally so strapped for time working I was unable to respond to any replies, a few people happened to mention that there was a gentleman in the U.S.A. who did etched brass kits for the modifications to the Brittanic and Olympic, I seemed to have lost this information, can anyone refresh my mind on this, alos is there a society for R.M.S. Brittanic?
Thanks

Hello Richard,

Tom Nicolair produces very good Olympic/Britannic conversion kits for the 1:350 (Academy-)Minicraft model.
I myself have them and although there are some small errors, they are by far the best for Britannic modelers!

Here are some links which should be of some help..

All three sites above give information about the kit, including pictures.

Thanks a lot, I don't know about you but i seem to feel that she really is the forgotten sister, finding information on her is really difficult hence the enquiry about a site. you mentioned that there were certain flaws in the etchings, are they major or easily rectifyable.
Thanks
Rich

Hello Rich,

It's true that there aren't a lot of sites on the Internet about Britannic, but the ones that are there are very nice.

The etchings don't have any mistakes that I know of(apart from the 3rd class smoke room walls, which are a bit wrong in my opinion).
The Gantry davits, although I'm only up to A-deck, are simply fabulous...!
Some of the resin motorhouses appear to have mistakes, but they are easily fixed.

Regards,
Remco
