Please take time to read this blog about the famous Canadian Pacific Liner RMS Empress of Britain. As a native-born Canadian, I truly believe this ship was the pride and joy of Canada's merchant marine (even though it didn't have a particularly 'Canadian' name). But putting that aside, she is still a marvel of engineering. A big white empress -- a beauty she was, and tragic the fate that befell her.
