I had heard that Sean was a crewman or stoker in the background in one of the scenes. I've seen this film many times and haven't been able to pick him out though.

I know I'm a bit late to the party with this one, but did you hear Sean Connery died a few weeks ago aged 90.

Most of us will know him as 007 James Bond and in other movies such as A Bridge Too Far, but he also apparently had a small role in the 1958 Titanic movie A Night to Remember.

Since someone else revived this thread, I thought that I would respond to the OP. Sean Connery was definitely NOT in ANTR even in a small role. By 1958 he was still small-time but not unknown. In the previous year, he had a substantial supporting part in Any Time, Any Place as Lana Turner's lover, a role for which he is quite well known. He also had a cameo as a welder in Time Lock in the same year. ANTR being a 1958 British film, Connery would definitely have been credited had he been there but he wasn't.

Connery is not in the film. But Desmond Llewelyan, who was "Q" in all the Bond films starting with "From Russia With Love" and all the way up to the Pierce Brosnan "World Is Not Enough" is clearly visible in an unbilled part as a steward behind a gate telling the third class passengers they have to go elsewhere.

Honor Blackman from "Goldfinger" of course has a prominent role as the fictional Mrs. Lucas.

He might have been uncredited on screen at the time, but be is certainly mentioned for the role on IMDB.
