Shire horses and titanic

I have always been told that my great grandfather mr.j.yardley was in charge of some of the shire horses that took the anchor of the titanic from dudley on the first leg of it's journey to belfast.does anyone have any information to support this.kind regards,linda.

Hallo, Linda. I don't think you'll find confirmation of that sort of detail in any Titanic source but you might try local newspaper archives in Dudley. And there are a number of photos of the event online, like this one. Maybe that's your great grandad up front guiding the lead horses.
