I had asked something similar, under an account whose name I had forgotten, about places in the First-class Lounge and Smoking Room marked "Bar" and was pretty much a closet used to keep wine and champagne.
Would the Café Parisien or the Palm Court have been open at the time of the collision (not in service, I mean, just that a passenger would be able to go in)? In regard to the Smoking Room, we know people were holed up in there playing cards and stuff. Those two, I'm not so sure.
I could imagine someone from either place getting a view of the berg as it passed, thinking they'd "tickled its toes".
