Has anyone read it? It's not too bad, but the author really didn't have much knowledge as to how the ship was designed. Anyway, it's a good story, but it's at a early reading level.

I agree. The author didn't do quite enough research, but it was a quick read and there have been worse books.

There have been worse books, but not by much. It seems to be a version of Cameron's movie for younger kids, which I guess can be good. The only thing is that she goes by Cameron's fallacies, especially on the gates on the lower decks of the "Titanic." Google Cathy Akers-Jones and Titanic and you'll find a powerpoint about the barriers on "Titanic."

Did anyone notice that much of the book most likely came from Lord's A Night To Remember? The caul, for one, comes to mind. I had just finished Lord's book when I picked up SOS Titanic and I was amazed at what I found.
