Hi all,
I'm a Tokyo-based filmmaker originally from Southampton. I'm returning to Southampton for around a month in April - coincidentally coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Titanic's sinking - and I'm planning to shoot a short 10-15 minute web film specifically about the impact the disaster had on Southampton itself.
This is a personal project I'll be funding and producing myself, simply because it's a subject I've always been interested in. It will be available on YouTube once it's finished.
The reason I'm writing: I'd like to shoot an interview with one or two experts/historians in the the area. I was planning to speak with the Southampton Maritime Museum to arrange something, but I wanted check here first if anyone here knows someone particular in the Southampton area I should speak to?
