St Raymond's Cemetary

Hello everyone,
I was wondering, does anyone have the address for St. Raymond's Cemetary in the Bronx, where Titanic survivors Julia Smyth and Eugene Daly are buried? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Tad Fitch

I believe the cemetery is at E 177th St & Lafayette Ave. There's also a "St. Raymond's Old Cemetery" at 2600 Lafayette. I'm thinking they're interred in the former.
Chris

Dear Tad,

Chris Dohany is correct in reporting the address. St. Raymond's Cemetery is adjacent to Route 95 (or better known as the Cross Bronx Expressway) through the Bronx. It is easy to access if you are planning to visit the New York area.

Having visited the cemetery already (since a few other Irish survivors are buried there), I am sorry to report that neither Eugene Daly or Julia Smyth have grave markers.

You may wish to contact them regarding information on the burials. However, don't expect to receive much information. The office at St. Raymond's only has information on the dates of burial (not death) for those interred in their cemetery.

Sincerely,

Michael Findlay

Dear Chris and Michael,
Thank you very much for the address for the cemetary. I appreciate it. Michael, do you have an E-mail address where you can be contacted privately? The old address I have no longer works. Thanks again guys.
Best regards,
Tad Fitch
