I don't know if there is a book that covers his early life. If there is I haven't seen it. Just snipets in articles like he was married and had a son. Don't think theres much out there on that but I could be wrong. Sure Arun or Seumas would know if one existed. I did a quick scan and came up with nada. Since he first went to sea when he was 13 years old probably didn't have much of childhood in the traditional sense. Cheers.Where can I read more about the early life and siblings of Captain Lord?
You could research his family yourself on ancestry.com using the census' of England & Wales, birth, marriage and death records ?Where can I read more about the early life and siblings of Captain Lord?
Perhaps not much help right now but there is an in-depth biography on Captain Lord being developed for the Titanic officers website (www.titanicofficers.com) that will cover his early life. I am presently finishing the biography on Captain Rostron, which has is understandably quite detailed, but once that is complete then Lord will be the next one released, on this page here: Titanic's Officers - SS CalifornianWhere can I read more about the early life and siblings of Captain Lord?
