Hello all. I've been trying to identify a group of features on the forward well deck, between numbers 2 and 3 cargo hatches. What is the fairly tall post-like structure with the large round top, kind of looking like a modern radar apparatus? And then there are the two smaller black bits of gear either side of this structure. All appear on the C Deck plan, but none are actually annotated. I'm guessing something to do with hold ventilation? If anyone can help, thanks!

Thanks Bob. Those seem to be the smaller features either side. Is the large structure in between connected with their operation at all?

Adam: The structure between them is a French head mushroom ventilator. Here is a photo of another H&W ship's pedestal roller fairleads. They only had a horn on the inboard side.
