Stupid Ship

It was Captain Hook's pirate ship! In other words, it's a fairy tale.
It may have started when a lawyer in England asked Herbert Stone of Californian if he thought that the rockets he saw were being sent up for fun. It was just a bit of sarcasm. It might have given some idiot the idea for a story.
You'll find that there are dozens of tall tales about Titanic. My personal favourite is the story of Rigel the dog who helped a lifeboat to safety.

To Cady, I would suggest reading A Night To Remember (ANTR) or The Night Lives On both by Walter Lord (if you haven't already) They will shed light on your concerns/questions about other ships.

Kate: In South London, it's 22 degrees (Celsius) in the shade - a happy relief from the 29 degrees of yesterday. (Phew!) I think 29C is about 90-ish in Fahrenheit.

Should we re-name this thread "stupid weather"?! Geee it looks like icky (a 5th grade word if ever there was one!)all over.
So Brandon, you've been rounding up, eh?? I used to do that, but my next birthday is a pretty big one so I've stopped doing that. And you say you've been kissed? Well I used to teach high school in Virginia I've heard sweet Virginia kisses are the best. More power to ya fella!!!!
And Paul, if my English to "English" translation skills are working, it's really hot where you are. Should we send a bit of our cooling rain your way???

Um, no thanks. We generally get rain 364 days a year. This year we were really unlucky: Summer fell on a Tuesday.

as for the weather. Its been sunny and 83 today. just a beauty of a day!
