Survivor found floating on stairs?

I recently listened to an interview in which a person in a lifeboat that returned looking for survivors said that they found a man floating on what appeared to be stairs. These stairs would likely have been from the aft stairwell, right?

Does anyone know who that survivor was?

The survivor was reputably Fang Lang, a third class passenger, though I know of no throughly reliable source for this. He certainly was on some sort of wreckage and he was Chinese, but again, the details are vague.

Not sure if this was featured in the 1997 "Titanic" movie , but I remember seeing a version of this in one of the movies.

It's one of the deleted scenes from the 1997 movie, you can find it on Youtube. Shame it didn't make into the movie.
