During the final shot of the film on the Criterion 2012 Blu-Ray, when the camera passes over footage of debris from the ship floating in the ocean while the instrumental of the Horbury version of Nearer My God to Thee is playing, a text epilogue crawls on screen which says:

BUT THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE STORY - FOR THEIR SACRIFICE WAS NOT IN VAIN. TODAY THERE ARE LIFEBOATS FOR ALL, UNCEASING RADIO VIGIL AND, IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC, THE INTERNATIONAL ICE PATROL GUARDS THE SEA LANES MAKING THEM SAFE FOR THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD

But I remember seeing another version of the film in which this text epilogue was removed from the debris footage.

Do most old prints of the film not include the text of the epilogue in this final scene?

Here's a clip of the scene on YouTube.
