The Biggest Weekend 2018: Band "PUBLIC SERVICE BROADCASTING" Creates 4 Titanic Related Songs

Just found article that the band "Public Service Boardcasting" (that produce songs using old archive footage and audio such as on the Coal Miners Strike and Spitfires to name a few) have performed 4 new songs during the BBC's Biggest Weekend Festival (being Performed on the Harland & Wolff slipways for Titanic / Olympic) that use survivor testimony and morse code within the songs.

Titanic survivors' voices woven into music

Interesting idea! What is everyone's thoughts?

I admit that while this is cool, I'm a bit sad as I had also written several Titanic related songs (I write a lot of lyrics) and had thought up one also Morse Code related... :(

Still congratulations to them for coming up with a new form of telling the story of the Titanic. It should be interesting to hear (once I find it :D)!

To anyone interested, here is the live performance from Belfast:
0:21 - "The Unsinkable Ship"
3:35 - "White Star Liner"
7:47 - "C.Q.D."
11:39 - "The Deep"

(Note: Footage of Olympic and Britannic were knowingly used for the screened backdrop)

I like it. I'm all for anything that would get people interested in history...especially the younger crowd. Its like our schools don't even bother with it anymore so good for these guys. Plus it looked liked a good weekend. I've only been to Belfast a couple times. I liked going there. Everybody I met there was friendly.

Great band.

I'll have to check this out.

I have a copy of The Race for Space and I love that album. Having said that, I had a copy of Race for Space but my dad heard part of it, borrowed the album and I haven't seen it for 6 months. He loves it as well.
