The Heroine of the Titanic

I came on this book in our library the other day.

It's by Joan W Blos and is not to be confused with another serious book with a very similar name. This one is for the young and the young at heart. It traces the career of Margaret (Molly) Brown in a light-heated way, with the kind of exaggerations she might have included if she'd written it. It's lavishly illustrated, though I must say it makes the lady better-looking than she ever was. History it ain't, but it's good fun.

It could be one for the kids for Christmas.

Sounds like something I can get and give to my daughter when she's old enough. She's getting more interested in books all the time and has her favorite stories.
