I know that Mrs. Cornell left in Boat 2, and Mrs. Brown in D, but I've seen conflicting reports as to which boat Mrs. Appleton, the third sister left in. Was it D or 2?
I have always understood she was with Mrs Cornell in boat 2 and had never seen her listed otherwise until viewing her updated Biography and the list of passengers for boat D.
I have just realized that this dual information must have been on the E-T web-site for a number of years. There is no mention of boat D in a 1998 entry and in an October 1998 lifeboat list Mrs Appleton is listed for boat 2; but from the High Detail Passengers Lists which I printed out in July 1999 Mrs Appleton shows as being in boat D. First time I spotted that. Those lists were useful for ticket numbers and fares paid.
